While most chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or absolutely no threat, dozens have been associated to substantial medical issues, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and various other commonly used items.
