Although the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present limited or zero threat, several dozen are associated with severe medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and many other ordinary products. However, no group of consumer products is accountable to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Eye Shadow (Chiffon).
