While many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present limited or absolutely no danger, several have been associated to serious medical issues, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and lots of other ordinary goods. However, no classification of consumer goods is susceptible to less government management than cosmetics, including Lipstick (Bravo). While many of the chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products most likely present little risk, being exposed to a few has been associated with significant health issues, such as cancer.
