Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present very little or zero risk, several dozen have been linked to considerable health problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals get into the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
