While many chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or zero risk, dozens are associated with substantial medical problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary goods. Still, no group of consumer goods is accountable to less government management than cosmetics, including Lip Liner. Although many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics probably present minimal risk, exposure to some is associated with serious health conditions, such as cancer.
