While most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose very little or zero threat, dozens have been associated with significant health issues, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.
