Though most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present very little or zero risk, dozens are linked to serious medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer can be found in food and lots of other common products.
