Although most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose slight or absolutely no danger, several dozen have been associated to substantial medical problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in water, food, and lots of other common products.
