Though most chemicals in cosmetic products present very little or absolutely no danger, several are associated with significant health problems, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food, water, and several other commonly used items. However, no sector of consumer items is subject to less government management than cosmetics and other personal products, including Mini Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 1 (Shade A2). Although most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics most likely present little risk, exposure to a few is linked to substantial health disorders, including cancer.
