Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose little or zero risk, several dozen have been linked to substantial health problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
