Although many chemicals in cosmetics pose little or no threat, several dozen are associated with severe health issues, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other ordinary products. However, no classification of consumer products is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics, including Mini Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 2 (Shade B3). Though most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics almost certainly pose minimal risk, exposure to a few has been associated with serious health problems, such as cancer.
