Though many chemicals in cosmetic products present minimal or zero danger, several dozen have been associated with substantial health issues, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other commonly used products. Still, no group of consumer products is susceptible to less government inspection than cosmetics and other personal products, including Mini Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 2 (Shade B1). Though most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics probably pose minimal risk, being exposed to some is linked to serious health issues, including cancer.
