While the majority of chemicals in cosmetics present limited or no danger, several dozen have been associated with significant health issues, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics get into a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and several other ordinary items. But, no area of consumer items is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics and other personal products, including Mini Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 2 (Shade A3).
