Though many chemicals in beauty products present minimal or no risk, several are associated to severe health conditions, such as neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and lots of other ordinary products.
