Though most chemicals in beauty products pose hardly any or no threat, several dozen have been linked with severe health conditions, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food and lots of other everyday goods. Yet, no group of consumer goods is subject to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 3 (Shade A1).
