While many chemicals in beauty products present very little or zero risk, several dozen have been associated with considerable health conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals get into the body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and several other commonly used products. Still, no type of consumer products is accountable to less government management than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 (Shade B3). While most of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products likely present very little risk, exposure to some has been associated with critical health disorders, such as cancer.
