Though many chemicals in beauty products present very little or zero threat, dozens are associated to severe health problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals invade the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and several other everyday items.
