Although the majority of chemicals in beauty products pose very little or no risk, dozens are associated with substantial medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food and various other ordinary goods.
