Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and many other everyday items. Still, no type of consumer items is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Loose Pigment (Shade Crystal).
