Although most chemicals in beauty products pose minimal or no risk, dozens have been linked to serious medical conditions, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food and lots of other commonly used products.
