Although many chemicals in cosmetics pose limited or no risk, several dozen are associated with serious health issues, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food, water, and several other everyday products. Still, no type of consumer products is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Liquid Lipstick (Shade Hudson). Although most of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics probably pose very little risk, exposure to some has been linked to worrying health disorders, including cancer.
