While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present very little or no risk, several dozen have been linked to severe medical problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and many other commonly used items. Yet, no classification of consumer items is subject to less government management than cosmetics, including Powder Bronzer (Shade Rosewood). While most of the chemicals in cosmetics in all likelihood present very little risk, subjection to a few has been associated with critical health disorders, including cancer.
