Although most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose little or zero risk, some have been linked to severe medical problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and various other common items. Still, no group of consumer items is accountable to less government direction than cosmetics, including Powder Bronzer (Shade Tawny). Though many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics almost certainly pose minimal risk, exposure to some has been linked to worrying health issues, including cancer.
